LOS HYPKI

Church Planting among the Nahuatl

Winter Break

Our Christmas and most of our winter break was spent traveling from Waukesha to Baraboo, WI and then back and forth, and back and forth a few times. This was of course, our best effort to spend the most time possible with both families, with friends in both areas, and with our home church Walnut Hill Bible and cultivate the relationships we have established there. We enjoyed seeing all of you, it was good to be home. Not only was it good to be home, but it was a great time of re-connection, and even though there was alot of traveling we were able to refresh and set goals for this next semester.
Christmas Eve morning included brunch at Kathy Heidemann's home just a few houses down from Pete family.

Brunch was fabulous! Not only is Kathy a great cook, but she's an even more wonderful friend and prayer warrior for us.

There was wonderful company at brunch, Kathy, the Hypkis, and Kathy's two cats Belle and Reggie. Here I am found squeezing Belle.

After attending the Christmas Eve service with the Hypkis all the Hypki girls rolled their sleeves up in the kitchen to cook the evening meal.

On Saturday night after Christmas we had a small birthday party for my sister-in-law Lindsey, and everyone was able to come. Madeline enjoyed all the attention especially playing with Uncle Jay.

Christmas Day we drove up to the Muscaneros and the whole brood was there. Pete holds our nephew Mason in this photo, he's 6 months old and squeezes like a little teddy bear.

As we prepare to travel back to Missouri on Jan. 15th we are excited and in anticipation of what the Lord is going to do in our lives in the next few months. He has been so faithful through so many of you, and we are blessed beyond measure. Especially our families, we love you guys!

Happy 2009 to you all! May it be a year to remember, a year of smiles and laughter, a year of things learned and people loved, a year of new experiences, and a year of refreshment.
